Sunday mornings at Spectrum are a great time of passionate worship & encourgaing teaching focused on equipping people to be able to know God more and to live victorious lives.
On sunday mornings we have our very own SPECTRUM KIDS church, run by our dedicated and passionate volunteers, kids get their own service to sing, dance, learn and have fun.

Every couple of weeks we host a Sunday Night Live at Spectrum. Live music from well established muso's sets the stage for hearing great and powerful real life stories from people who have encountered God. We are: A Christian community that includes people from all Christian traditions and some no tradition at all.
We are: Locals made up of all ages who love Port Stephens community and value being apart of our beautiful area. Our passion is to share our faith practically and simply by engaging in mission work locally as well as supporting needy people around the planet.
We have supporting businesses (not for profit) that resource various projects both locally around also around the globe in places such as the Pacific Islands, China, Africa & The Philippines.
Our Cafe, Gift Shop, Gallery & Nursery provide employment, social connections & resources to help enrich peoples lives.

Pastors Martyn & Elly Webb
Together Martyn & Elly planted the church over 25 years ago and have been faithfully serving and growing the church over those years to where it is today. Martyn is the key visionary of Spectrum and a sound Bible teacher with artistic flair and a prophetic edge to his ministry. Both Martyn & Elly have a strong desire to see the next generation rise up and lead the church of tomorrow and are committed to training up young ministers from within the house.
Andrew is a Pastor in the church and a gifted teacher & communicator with a passion for God's house. Andrew's wife Rachel leads the Spectrum Church worship team writing many of the songs we sing. Together Andrew & Rachel manage the Spectrum Cafe.
Gemma, eldest daughter of our senior pastors, is a great teacher with a strong prophetic flavour. Gemma oversees our womens ministry and teaches and ministers regulalrly to the church. Gemma is married to Jonny who heads up our Sound, Lighting and Media team and both are part of the senior management team of the church. Together they have amazingly generous hearts and serve both God and his people with great passion.
Spectrum Gold are our amazing Over 60's and are Pastored by the beautiful Ronda Odgers. Ronda has great vision for the older people of our church and of our community and does an incredible job encouraging, resourcing and leading Spectrum Gold. Ronda has a long legacy of hospitality and love that is seen in everything she does.
Jess is our incredibly creative and passionate Youth Pastor, together with her Husband Bryan, they Pastor the Youth Ministry which involves both primary and high school tribes. They have an intense energy and commitment to raise up the next generation and to to young lives on fire for God. Bryan is a great muso, engineer and outdoor educator and he has a big heart for seeing kids active and enjoying Gods creation. Jess is also one of our Spectrum Worship Leaders, writing many of the songs we sing.
Mel Smith is an incredible intern with lots of energy and is a big thinker. Mel is an amazing drummer and has great leadership and administration skills. Mel is currently the Store Manager at the local Jay Jays and is a great intern Pastor at Spectrum.
At Spectrum we're always looking to raise up ministers and those with Leadership gifts on thier life. Much on our current ministry team is made of ministers that have been raised up from within Spectrum Church. We believe one of the best ways to train, educate and equip young leaders is through doing an internship over a number of years, we call it - the Spectrum Internship. Our interns program operates much like an apprenticeship with a combination of on the job serving and study geared uniquely for each persons strengths.
KIDS CHURCH PASTORS
Josh & Sarah lead our incredibly dedicated team of kids church leaders every week with unmatched enthusiasm. Teaching the kids about God, Jesus & the Bible in ways that are fun, engaging and memorable - both Sarah & Josh are also part of our Youth Leadership team and our Worship team.

The Groundwork Course is a short, 4 week course designed to cover some of the basic foundational things of what we as Christians believe and why. The course covers things like Faith, Salvation & What Jesus achieved on the Cross. Over 4 sessions, you will learn the fundamentals of what it means to have faith in Jesus and what a Christian life is built on. Run by our Church Pastors, the course is conversation based and is always thoroughly enjoyed.
To live in the full joy, power and purpose of what God has in store for us we need to build a strong spiritual life based on a relationship with Jesus. Building that kind of life is much like building a house, you need strong foundations for the house to stand. The best foundations always start with good groundwork - this course is designed to help you really establish and confirm some fundamental truths to ensure your spiritual life has a rock solid foundation from which to build your life on.
As a church, we are in a very exciting season of growth and elargement. We have a passion to build a church that will last for generations and will have influence and and a voice into our local community, into our country and into the nations for many years to come. We are still very much in the pioneering stages of establishing a church that can be passed onto the next generation and so we are constantly looking for practical ways by which we can Increase The Reach that we have both locally, nationally and around the planet.
As a church we are very enthusiastic about being generous and we are very practical in the ways we are pursuing the enlargement and increase of Gods Kingdom. Giving financially to the work of the church is a great privilege and a blessing, the word of God tells us that whoever sows sparingly reaps sparingly, but whoever sows generously shall reap a generous harvest. James writes, 'show me your faith without deeds and I'll show you my faith by what I do' and Jesus said, 'where your treasure is, your heart will be also.'
We give because our heart is towards seeing God's Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
We give as an act of faith towards equipping and resourcing the church to be able to reach further and with greater effectiveness because we understand that mission requires finances.
We give generously because God has blessed us and made us a generous people and because we know there is nothing more important than reaching the lost and broken.

Matthew 5:14-16 in the Message says this - "Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light standshine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven. "
The vision and heart of Spectrum church is to "keep open house" - to not just have open doors on Sunday but to have an environment that is open and accesible to the community all the time. This is why we have created spaces for our community to come and go and to engage in a marketplace setting, by opening a Cafe, Giftshop, Art Gallery and Nursery, we are constantly in contact and communication with our local community. Our vision is to be the light of the world that God has called us to be, to shine brightly the light and the love of Christ with a spirit of excellence and generousity. God did not call his church to be insular or to keep to themselves, the very first thing Jesus did with his disciples was to send them out into the world, publicly proclaiming the good news and the last thing he told them to do was exactly the same; to live large, to be generous, to publicly and openly communicate the love of Christ.
